| Jeff Bridges has been a star and first-rate actor for almost forty years, and he never gives a bad performance. In Crazy Heart, he excels as an aging, boozy, self-destructive singer/songwriter who still manages to stumble on stage and delight the dwindling crowds. Then he meets reporter Maggie Gyllenhaal, and a sparky encounter hints at a relationship and stability he has rarely known - if he can conquer his demons.
